Kim has been involved in the municipal market for more than 30 years, holding both buy side and sell side roles. Her career started at Drexel Burnham Lambert and progressed to a position with Wheat First Union Securities trading for the firm’s clearing clients. She implemented the origin of the Vanguard Brokerage Fixed Income Trading, acting as Desk Head servicing the firm’s high-net worth investors. Additional trading roles involved starting a municipal trading desk for Spear Leeds and Kellogg, which was acquired by FHN Financial. Kim spent more than 20 years trading General Market municipal bonds for the institutional clients of FHN. Currently, she is a municipal bond portfolio manager with NewSquare Capital located outside Philadelphia. In addition to her investment responsibilities, she writes a daily commentary about topical municipal themes with distribution across various media channels. Kim resides in the Philadelphia area and counts a wonderful husband and son as the best gifts of her life. In her free time, she is a fan of college and professional sports, including English Premier League soccer team Liverpool.
